Accommodation Terms & Conditions
Thank you for choosing to stay with us at the Royal on the Park Brisbane. Below is the hotels terms and conditions that apply during your stay, please read them carefully and acknowledge your acceptance.
Credit Card Surcharges
A surcharge of 1.5% applies to all transactions processed via Visa, Visa Debit, MasterCard, MasterCard Debit, JCB and American Express. Payments made via Diners Club cards will incur a surcharge of 1.9%.
Credit Card Pre-authorisation
Please be aware that upon your arrival, Royal on the Park requires a pre-authorisation from your credit card for an amount equivalent to your room rate and an additional bond amount calculated at up to $100 per night. Pre-authorised funds are held by your financial institution and may be utilised by the hotel to settle any outstanding charges from your stay. Depending on your financial institution these funds may take up to 10 business days to clear after your departure from the hotel. Alternately a cash or EFTPOS deposit can be accepted, any unused amount will be returned upon your departure. If paying by Cash or EFTPOS, photo ID will be required.
All reservations require credit card guarantee, due at the time of booking, or a company/travel agent guarantee. We reserve the right to ask and receive photo id as security to prevent credit card fraud.
Check In and Check Out Times
Check In from 1.00pm, Check Out prior to 11.00am.
Check In at 1pm is guaranteed for the best available room in the category booked. Early arrivals may be requested however are not guaranteed. The hotel has limited luggage storage facilities available. Should you require an early Check In please contact the hotel directly (a fee may apply). For a late Check Out, please contact reception on the day of departure (fees may apply).
Cancellations and/or Non Arrival
Cancellations and amendments can be made up to 24 hours prior to 1800 on the day of arrival (Brisbane time) and will not incur any cancellation fees. Any cancellation made after this time, or failing to show will result in the first night’s charge, or any prepayment forfeited.
12 years and under are classed by Royal on the Park as Children. Ages 13 and above as classified as adults for the purpose of meal pricing and accommodation charges.
Royal on the Park has a limited number of Baby Cots available at a charge of $15.
Additional bedding is available in selected room types only– from $35.00 per night, per person.
Non Smoking Hotel
Royal on the Park Brisbane is a Non Smoking Hotel, and we ask that you refrain from smoking in your room. Evidence of smoking in rooms will incur a $500.00 cleaning fee on your account. Should the hotels smoke alarm system by set off by a guest smoking in their room – an additional charge of $1900 will be charged for the Emergency Services Call Out Fee. Please help us keep the hotel a smoke free environment.
No Party Policy
Royal on the Park has a strict no-party policy in its accommodation rooms. Guests found to be in breach of this policy shall be asked to leave the hotel and may forfeit any funds paid. The registered guest shall be responsible for any damage caused to hotel property (wilful or accidental).
TRAVELLER ACCOMMODATION PROVIDERS ACT 2001
The Traveller Accommodation Providers (Liability) Act 2001 changes the common law about innkeeper’s liability.
Under the Act, an accommodation provider may be liable to make good any loss of a guest’s property in certain circumstances even though the loss is not caused by the fault of the accommodation provider, or the provider’s agent.
The strict liability of the accommodation provider under the Act:
• Applies only to a guest of the accommodation provider on a day when an accommodation unit is provided for the use of the guest.
• Is limited to $250 for each accommodation unit provided for the use of the guest on the day, unless the guest’s property was placed in safe custody facilities.
• Does not cover motor vehicles and things owned by the guest left in or on motor vehicles.
